Dame Helen Mirren and Zoe Sugg support Age UK

23 06 2017

Age UK has teamed up with Madame Tussauds to launch this year's Big Knit campaign, in partnership with innocent smoothies, which encourages the public to knit miniature woolly hats for innocent drinks bottles, to be sold this October, with 25p from each sale going to Age UK.

To promote the campaign, the waxworks of Oscar-winning actress Dame Dame Helen Mirren and influencers Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes were assembled to look like they were taking part in the Age UK knitting club at Madame Tussauds, and Mirren, who's also an Age UK ambassador, commented 'I'm honoured to be supporting the Big Knit... Every hat donated to Age UK will help the charity to raise vital funds to keep older people warm and well.... So please, pick up your knitting needles and help make a real difference'.
